Food Pairings: It is excellent accompaniment to ripe cheeses such as pecorino or even better with the typical “piacintinu” (Enna sheep cheese flavored with saffron). In general, it goes well with the tasty and hard cheese. It finds also an ideal pairing with meat dishes such as veal chops or roasted goat with potatoes, as the typical recipe of Messina.
